As the world moves away from fossil fuels and the supply is diminished, the ability to get at and extract natural resources more efficiently, cheaply, and at lower environmental cost becomes more critical to energy companies.

Challenge

Over the course of my career; I have worked with several Energy companies (Exxon Mobil, Kuwait Oil Company, Qatar Petroleum), and software services agencies (Landmark, Schlumberger) designing user experiences for knowledge transfer, instructional design, and upstream systems to improve and monitor natural gas and oil well performance technologies in the IoT and big data space..

Approach

Recent design work is focused on interpreting and graphing telemetry data from oil well sensors and transponders. The user interfaces shown are examples of design proposals for multi-platform mobile and web applications monitoring upstream systems.
